
My name is Cara Ball, I am a counsellor / therapist with additional training in working with children and young people and with neurodiversity. I am also an neurodiversity and ADHD coach.
As a counsellor I have worked with adults with a range of issues including complicated relationships; abuse as a child; anxiety; suppression of self; need to please others; fears of the future, faith and exploring and living with neurodiversity.
Adults struggling with bereavement, difficulties coping with grief and loss; complex grief; traumatic grief; stuck in grief.
I have supported children and young people (aged 7 years upward to 16 years old) with anxiety; eating problems; experience of abuse; grief; self-harm; relationship issues; harmful intrusive thoughts; OCD; family problems; academic fears; issues of gender identity; friendship problems; living arrangement concerns; potential of homelessness; divorce; separation of parents; living with ‘step-parents and step-siblings’; neurodiversity, ADHD, ASD.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I am also registered with the Universal Coaching Alliance.
As well as my core training I have advanced training in working with
children and young people. I have also trained extensively in
neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD, including a coaching
qualification.
I am currently undertaking an advanced educational programme
in trauma informed psychotherapy.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have training in Safeguarding.
I am a parent and know the ups and downs of family life.
I am truly passionate about improving the mental health of the people I work with and decreasing the shame.
My role is to support you to feel better and to assist
you to move forward with your life.

I am a Specialist Dentist in Special Care Dentistry,
having worked in the NHS for over 25 years.
I have been able to make a huge difference over many years to many individual's lives.
I am fully insured and am a registered member of the British Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) and registered as a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry with the General Dental Council (GDC) and I adhere to all the professional codes of conduct.
